Bold and elemental, Remnants II brings together deep charcoal, chalky white and raw, weathered texture. A dark upper field meets a pale, fractured base, creating a strong horizon that feels simultaneously geological and abstract.
The contrast between light and dark gives the work a sense of depth, while cracks, scratches and exposed layers suggest a surface shaped, worn and transformed over time. Small interruptions within the composition become traces of something that existed before — fragments that resist disappearing entirely.
Part of the Remnants series, this work explores what remains after change. There is strength in its imperfections and beauty in its weathered surface, where every mark becomes part of an ongoing history.
