Remnants IV is the most dramatic of the series, where luminous ochre and burnished earth tones emerge against a deep charcoal ground. Dense layers, fractured edges and weathered marks create a surface that feels ancient and elemental, as though shaped by both time and the forces of the land.
Light and darkness sit in deliberate contrast. Golden passages appear through the depth of the composition, revealing fragments and imperfections that might otherwise remain hidden. The result is a work that feels grounded yet luminous — carrying both weight and warmth.
As the final work in the Remnants series, it speaks to what survives transformation. Traces remain embedded within the surface, not as evidence of something lost, but as part of what comes next.
